Prospective Assembly
Through November 18, WANT Les Essentiels’ flagship store in New York's West Village will display ‘Prospective Assembly’: WANT's new installation in a series of experiential art and design exhibitions aimed at guiding shoppers and visitors into the WANT world as they discover the label’s latest offerings.

'Prospective Assembly' celebrates the Pre SS19 collection which puts an emphasis on WANT’s architectural roots. Introducing new functional designs paired with a simple, yet striking and artful aesthetic, the collection of handbags, backpacks, wallets, travel accessories and shoes for both women and men, takes inspiration from Swiss-French Architect & Designer Le Corbusier’s ‘Cité Radieuse’ brutalist building.

The 'Prospective Assembly' exhibition is developed in tandem with Montréal-based design studio Atelier B, whose work promotes the use of concrete as a noble material by combining artisanal practices and cutting-edge techniques. For the occasion, the street facing gallery space of WANT’s flagship will showcase a series of Atelier B’s unique concrete sculptures and a short in-the-making film, interspersed with Le Corbusier-inspired items from the Pre SS19 collection.
